SUPERTECH has directed its efforts in research and testing activity for innovative coating treatments for the metal parts of fittings and manifolds in order to supply high quality reliable products.

The fluid bed plastic-coating process was the company’s final choice. All the metal parts (fixing rings, connecting branches), with the exception of brass parts, are now protected by a corrosion-proof coating with PPA571 thermoplastic powder, produced by Plascoat Systems Ltd.

This plastic coating creates an anti-osmotic barrier, able to offer 200 year-long resistance to corrosion and abrasion with good dielectric insulation properties. The PPA571 coating shows excellent behavior to ageing simulation tests as the products maintain their characteristics unchanged.

This process is perfectly in line with SUPERTECH’s goal of implementing a HOMOGENEOUS plastic/metal system forming the basis of its whole production process.
